Trucking can be a very cost effective way of shipping your domestic freight to any destination in the United States (U.S.), Canada and Mexico. BGI Worldwide Logistics offers trucking services that can be tailored to your specific shipping and budget needs. Take advantage of BGI's freight transportation management program and let us leverage our total volume to get you the lowest pricing available.
Trucking freight costs are based on the The National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) standard and differ from how air and ocean freight costs are calculated. All commodities fall into one of 18 classes between a low of 50 to a high of 500 based on four transportation characteristics: density, storability, handling and liability.
For clients who want to further reduce costs, BGI provides intermodal freight transport. Freight is transported in a container by a combination of rail and truck, without any additional handling of the freight itself. Rail service helps to improve security, reduce damages and loss, and meet scheduled delivery times.
Full Truckload (FTL)
Throughout the U.S. and Canada, BGI has partnered with the nation's best carriers to provide a wide variety of full truckload (FTL) options. Full truckload options for large shipments include specialized equipment – air ride, removable goose-neck flatbed, heavy haul trucking and refrigerated trucks.
Less Than Truckload (LTL)
For shipments that will not fill an entire truck, less than truckload (LTL) offers unparalleled convenience and cost savings for domestic shipping. BGI has partnered with some of the best carriers nationwide, negotiated the best possible rates and developed tools to allow shippers to easily manage the shipping process. Standard LTL trucking is the most cost-effective over-the-road service. Expedited LTL is available for shipments on a deadline or schedule.
