A Carrier’s Standard Cargo Liability Insurance is limited to:

• International or domestic air cargo: $20.00 per kilogram
• Domestic truck and rail transportation: $0.50 per pound
• Ocean freight: $500 per bill of lading

If your shipments exceed the standard cargo liability limit, we recommend that you purchase additional insurance coverage, known as Shipper’s Interest Coverage. BGI always recommends that you purchase Shipper’s Interest coverage for the full value of your shipment.
