Inside Sales Coordinator

We’re seeking outstanding Inside Sales candidates. The ideal hire will have a logistics background, sales experience, and a bachelor’s degree. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator with a strong attention to detail and a passion for helping customers find the best shipping and warehousing solutions. They should have the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. We are willing to train the right candidate who is goal-oriented and motivated to learn about the industry.

Experience with CargoWise systems is a plus. This position will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new business.

Job functions will include prospecting and qualifying new business, conducting pricing research, and preparing quotations, and will require professional oral and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New business development, through prospecting, calls, and email outreach, and qualifying sales leads
  • Identifying and escalating qualified prospects
  • Prepare and follow up on freight and warehousing quotes
  • Creation of quotations and sales proposals for target accounts
  • Onboarding new business and gathering documents required to set up new accounts
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Collaborate with the operations and pricing teams to ensure smooth account handling
  • Following the company’s sales process
  • Maintaining all information and progress in the database
  • Track and report sales activity in CRM

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of inside sales experience in logistics, transportation, or warehousing
  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international freight forwarding is preferred
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in managing pricing data and quotations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Multitasking: the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Judgment and Decision-Making: Good judgment in making timely and informed decisions.
  • Attention to detail
  • Initiative – demonstrates a proactive and pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Knowledge of CargoWise systems and Excel is a plus.

Location:

West Coast-based position. Hybrid or work-from-home schedules are available.

Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm PST

Freight Forwarding Business Development


Position Overview:

Full-time, Commission

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to expand our presence in the LA market. This new position is an excellent opportunity for motivated sales professionals who enjoy and thrive in a flexible, goal-driven environment.

You will report to senior management and be responsible for developing and acquiring a new freight forwarding business (All Modes & Services) in the LA market.

Additional responsibilities will include setting appointments, qualifying, making warm and cold calls, pricing, preparing proposals, giving face-to-face client presentations, and providing innovative solutions to secure new business. You will also be expected to maintain client relationships through coordination with our operations team at our local Long Beach, Rancho Dominguez, CA offices, and with our global partners.

Diligent use of the CargoWise system (CRM), pipeline reporting, and internal communication on sales cycles are crucial to success in this position.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in freight forwarding sales.
  • College degree (preferred, although a high school diploma and proven sales experience may be substituted for a degree).
  • Knowledge of the greater Southern California regional markets.
  • Knowledge of Trans-Pacific, European, and Latin American trade lanes.
  • Multimodal sales (Air, Ocean, Import, Export, LCL/FCL, Brokerage FTL/LTL)
  • Demonstrated business development and territory management skills.
  • Familiarity with computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • At least five years of business development/sales success are required.
  • Ocean and Air export and Domestic experience is preferred.
