East Coast Pricing Coordinator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Coordinator to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining accurate and competitive pricing for our services and working closely with various departments to support our sales and customer service efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams—a terrific opportunity to learn from seasoned experts. Our Pricing and Procurement division is a great platform to learn the supply chain and freight forwarding business and build a career inside a company with much room to grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely responses to emails, leads, rate requests, bids, tenders, and other inquiries per company standards.
  • Assist customers and sales staff with pricing inquiries, rate quotations, negotiations, and amendments.
  • Obtain and manage trucking rates for FCL Drayage, LTL truck, and Domestic Dry Van services.
  • Track and manage quoted rates within our management system (CargoWise) and follow up on quotes to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Work independently and as a team to address unique business challenges and opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, both internationally and domestically.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to ensure.

Required Skills:

  • Multitasking: the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, ensuring customer deadlines are always met.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in managing pricing data and quotations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Judgment and Decision-Making: Good judgment in making timely and informed decisions.
  • Previous freight forwarding and/or pricing experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CargoWise systems and Excel is a plus.

Location:

East Coast-based position. Hybrid or work-from-home schedules are available.

Hours: 8 am – 4pm EST

Freight Forwarding Business Development


Position Overview:

Full-time, Commission

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to expand our presence in the LA market. This new position is an excellent opportunity for motivated sales professionals who enjoy and thrive in a flexible, goal-driven environment.

You will report to senior management and be responsible for developing and acquiring a new freight forwarding business (All Modes & Services) in the LA market.

Additional responsibilities will include setting appointments, qualifying, making warm and cold calls, pricing, preparing proposals, giving face-to-face client presentations, and providing innovative solutions to secure new business. You will also be expected to maintain client relationships through coordination with our operations team at our local Long Beach, Rancho Dominguez, CA offices and with our global partners.

Diligent use of the CargoWise system (CRM), pipeline reporting, and internal communication on sales cycles are crucial to success in this position.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in freight forwarding sales.
  • College degree (preferred, although a high school diploma and proven sales experience may be substituted for a degree).
  • Knowledge of greater Southern California regional markets.
  • Knowledge of Trans-Pacific, European, and Latin America trade lanes.
  • Multimodal sales (Air, Ocean, Import, Export, LCL/FCL, Brokerage FTL/LTL)
  • Demonstrated business development and territory management skills.
  • Familiarity with computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • At least five years of business development/sales success are required.
  • Ocean and Air export and Domestic experience is preferred.
